    Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the effect of variations in the layers of sandwich composite boards from coconut coir fibre waste and blood clam shells on physical, mechanical, and acoustic properties as one of the developments of composite boards for alternative solutions in the use of wood with optimal use of waste. Based on the tests carried out, the best test results were obtained in sample 2 (S2) with a layer variation of 25% blood clam shell (face); 50% coconut fibre (core); 25% blood clam shell (back) due to the use of a mixture of blood clam shell powder and epoxy resin in the skin layer (face and back) which is denser so as to produce physical properties with density test results (0.99 gr/cm3); water absorption (5.05%) and porosity (5%); and porosity (5%) and stronger mechanical properties with tensile strength test results (316.88 kgf/cm2) and flexural strength (935.89 kgf/cm2), and produce good acoustic properties with the highest transmission loss test results of 63 dB in the low frequency range (125-1000 Hz) and and 53 dB in the medium frequency range (1000-4000 Hz) with the best Sound Transmission Class (STC) value STC 42 in sample 1 (S1) and STC 30 in Sample 2 (S2). SEM-EDS microstructure test results show the elements of C, O, Ca, and Si spread the most in order in sample 1 (S1) and sample 2 (S2).
