Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kolaborasi Pengarang pada Jurnal Information Technology and Libraries (ITAL) Tahun 2016-2022

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the level of collaboration of writers by using the theory of Subramanyam and some factors which influences collaboration of writers by using the theory of Czajkowski and Bukvova in the scientific journals, Information Technology and Libraries (ITAL) in the period of 2016-2022. The research employs descriptive quantitative research method. The data are gathered by conducting observation, questionnaire, and documentary study. The analytical unit includes 147 articles published in the period of 2016-2022. The result of the research shows that the level of collaboration of writers in the ITAL journals in the period of 2016-2022 is 0,64 which is categorized as high. It is found that writing the journals by collaboration is more than that by individuals. There are four dominant variables which influence collaboration of writers: 1) trust and teamwork (35,28%), 2) exchange of ideas among fields of study (17,64%), 3) complex problem solving (11,76%), and 4) improvement in the outcome quality (11,76%). Writing scientific articles in the ITAL journals in the period of 2016-2022 highly needs contribution from other fields of study.
