    Abstract
The study, entitled The Lexicon of Kegulmaan in Javanese Communities in Fajar Agung Plantation, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency aims to (i) describe the form of the lexicon of kegulmaan in the MJFA, (ii) describe the level of MJFA's understanding of the kegulmaan lexicon, and (iii) explain the factors that influence the level of MJFA's understanding of the form of nouns and verbs of kegulmaan in Fajar Agung Plantation. This study uses a qualitative approach that is supported in the form of calculating the results of the respondents. The lexicon data obtained through questionnaires. The questionnaire contains data on a list of kegulmaan lexicons previously obtained through interviews with key informants. As for the results of this study, there are 99 lexicons in the MJFA which have a monomorphemic form, there are 44 lexicons. The lexicon which is monomorphemic in form consists of 1 lexicon in the form of 1 syllabic, 20 lexicons in the form of 2 syllables, 19 lexicons in the form of 3 syllabies, and 4 lexicons in the form of 4 syllabi. The lexicon in the form of polymorphemic is 54 lexicons consisting of affixed words, compound words, repeated words and in the form of phrases. There are 27 lexicons in the form of affixed words, 18 lexicons that are in the form of compound words, 7 lexicons that are in the form of rephrases, and 2 lexicons that are in the form of phrases. Based on the second discussion, it can be concluded that the level of MJFA's understanding of the kegulmaan lexicon shows that the understanding of the respondents in the two age groups in the T category (Tofu) towards weeds is 83.45%, the cultivar land is 99.71%, the sugar equipment is 99.75%, and the activity the sugar was 98.55%. This percentage indicates that the weed lexicon still survives on MJFA. Although it can be said that there are still many known lexicons, but when compared to the lexicon of land, tools, and activity, weeds are among the lowest. Then there is a symptom of the shrinkage of knowledge of the age group II towards the lexicons of kegulmaan because there are new terms that are less familiar to the age group II. Regarding the survival factor of noun and verb lexicons in MJFA, it can be concluded that the persistence of these lexicons is influenced by (1) MJFA's conservative behavior towards weeds, (2) physiological adaptation of weeds to herbicides, (3) Consistency in the Use of Traditional Weed Control and Eradication Equipment , (4) MJFA Welfare, (5) MJFA Education, and (6) MJFA's Tendency Against Javanese.
