    Abstract
    The research aims to analyze signs, describes the meaning of illustrative works, and explains the representation of Indonesian society during the Covid-19 pandemi era in the illustrative works uploaded in social media accounts @harimerdeka and @micecartoon. This research employs qualitative approach with descriptive method and Charles Sanders Pierce‟s semiotic theory of trichotomy (triadic). The research data are 10 uploaded illustrative images: 5 images from @harimerdeka and 5 images from @micecartoon. Data are collected using documentation technique and analyzed using Miles, Huberman and Saldana‟s interactive analysis model. The result indicates signs found in 10 illustrative works that represent the Indonesian society during the Covid-19 pandemic era are in the form of colors, icon, and symbols. The meaning of signs in the illustrative works describes the interpretant consisting of rhyme, Dicent sign, and argument to explain the phenomena of suggestion, prohibition, critics, and invitation to the society toward the regulation regarding the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 virus during the pandemic, etc. The representation of signs in the illustration exists as a critic for various government regulation regarding the Covid-19 which is in contrast with the habit in the society. Therefore, the attitude and behavior among the society agains the pandemic condition as well as the impacts and changes occurred in the society as a result of the pandemic are questioned. The research concludes that the representation of Indonesian society during the Covid-19 pandemic era in the illustrative works uploaded in social media accounts @harimerdeka and @micecartoon indicates various of problems encountered by society regarding adaptation and adjustment to the condition and applied regulations.
