    Abstract
    In everyday life, we cannot escape the influence of harmful gases. These harmful gases such as CO, CO2 and CH4 are colorless gases so we cannot distinguish them from oxygen, the air we need. Odorless CO gas is very dangerous when inhaled directly because it causes lack of oxygen and weakness due to the influence of toxic gases. Because of the above problems, this study made how to design a tool used to detect the amount of CO, CO2, and CH4 content in the air in a closed room. This tool uses MQ sensors with different types based on the sensitivity of the three gases. The ATMEGA 8535 microcontroller as the main controller is used to monitor gas levels displayed as output on LCD displays, LED indicators and blowers as neutralizers. From testing tools using MQ sensors on CO, CO2 and CH4 gas content, the data received by the sensor is in ppm. CO sensor with maximum range of 2000 ppm, CO2 with maximum 10000 ppm and CH4 with maximum 20000 ppm. From the measurement data of CO, CO2, CH4 sensors, it can be concluded that the voltage obtained from the measurement results is influenced by harmful gas levels with gases percentation CO 17%, CO2 30 %, CH4 15 %.
