    Abstract
    In order to increase the growth and life sustainanability of fry of the pomfret fish (Colossoma macropomum) rapidly, it is necessary to add the artificial feed with plant extracts to their feed. This research was carried out at the Lengau Seprang Freshwater Fish-Fry Center, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra on January to March 2023. This research aimed to analyze the addition of chive leaf extract (Allium tuberosum) as feed for pomfret fish (Colossoma macropomum), to measure the increasing of the weight, the length and the survival rate of the pomfret fish. The experiment used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and six replications. The treatments carried out consisted of P0 (pellet feed + without chive leaf extract); P1 (pellet feed + addition of 0.5% chive leaf extract); P2 (pellet feed + addition of 1% chive leaf extract) and P3 (pellet feed + addition of chive leaf extract). The concentration chive leaf extract was 1.5%. The results of the research showed the highest fish survival was obtained in the P3 treatment (pellet feed + addition of 1.5% chive leaf extract) by 96.6%. The addition of chive leaf extract with a concentration of 1.5% was able to provide a weight increase into 10.75 g and the highest specific length increase by 12.57 cm compared to other concentrations and it had better feed quality since it had the lowest feed conversion value in the P3 treatment (1.87g). The analysis data of the result showed there was a significant effect (P<0.05) on the increase in weight and length of fish. A best dose for growth in length and weight of pomfret fish was 1.5% chive leaf extract.
