    Abstract
Api-api mangrove (Avicennia marina) is one of the most important mangrove species. In mangrove growth, twigs are often pruned when making paths, where this twig waste has the potential to become the main ingredient for the product. Handicraft products have very good potential and opportunities in the market, so they can grow new entrepreneurs to open up business opportunities and reduce the level of urbanization of society. The aims of the research are: To utilize mangrove waste to become handicraft products, to test the market potential of mangroves after being processed into handicraft products. The method used is exploration, design, and embodiment of works made from mangrove wood branches. In conducting this research, this type of research uses the interview method with informants. Api-api (Avicennia marina) mangrove waste has been utilized into new products, namely: coasters, wall decorations and wall clocks, where the physical properties of the wood branches used without bark are a water content of 7.71%, a density of 0.32 gr/cm3 , specific gravity 0.33, volume shrinkage 2.23%. The machining defects of hairy fiber are 2.2%, fiber lift is 6.6%, so the machining quality is classified as class I. Handicraft products have quite high market potential, as can be seen from people's interest in buying products when they are bought and sold, 20 people strongly agreed or 45% responded, 15 people agreed or 33%, and 10 people were neutral or 22%. The quality of this product is also relatively high, with a strongly agree response of 30 people or 67%, a response of 15 people agree or 33%.
