    Studi Suhu Pemotongan Orthogonal: Eksperimen Metode Taguchi dan Simulasi Metode Elemen Hingga

    Abstract
    Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukannya pembubutan yang bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menganalisis suhu pemotongan. Percobaan eksperimen ini dilakuakan pada pemesinan keras baja AISI 1045 yang menggunakan pahat karbida tak berlapis (uncoated) dari produk SECO. Dalam melakukan penelitian digunakan Metode Taguchi L18 untuk menentukan rancangan eksperimen dengan variasi parameter pemotongan yang meliputi kecepatan potong, gerak makan, kedalaman potong (v, f, a). Suhu pemotongan rata-rata diambil menggunakan thermocouple. Kemudian dilakukan simulasi pemotongan baja AISI 1045 dengan menggunakan pahat karbida tak berlapis (uncoated) dengan konteks pemotongan orthogonal 2D menggunakan perangkat lunak berbasis elemen hingga ABAQUS/CAE. Suhu pahat yang didapatkan pada simulasi berkisar 2210C – 585OC dan suhu yang didapatkan menggunakan metode eksperimen berkisar 139,5oC – 250,25oC.
     
    In this research, turning has been done which aims to measure and analyze the cutting temperature. This experimental experiment was carried out on AISI 1045 steel machining using uncoated carbide tools from SECO products. In conducting the research, the Taguchi L18 method was used to determine the experimental design with variations in cutting parameters including cutting speed, feeding motion, depth of cut (v, f, a). The average cutting temperature is taken using a thermocouple. Then simulation of cutting AISI 1045 steel by using uncoated carbide tool with the context of 2D orthogonal cutting using ABAQUS / CAE finite element based software. The tool temperature obtained at the simulation ranged from 221oC - 585OC and the temperature obtained using the experimental method ranged from 139.5oC - 250.25oC.
