Correctional students living in Special Child Development Institutions (LPKA) experience life changes, such as separation from their families, loss of freedom, limited direct interaction with those closest to them, and attachment to rules. These changes cause anxiety in the future which, if not handled, will have a negative effect on Andikpas. One effort that can be made to reduce anxiety in the future is supportive group therapy. The aim of this research is to see the effect of supportive group therapy on reducing future anxiety in correctional students at the Medan Class I Children's Special Development Institute. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental approach by providing supportive group therapy for 5 consecutive days with a duration of 60 minutes. The participants in this study were 10 Andikpas people who had moderate-high levels of future anxiety scores who were randomly selected and then randomized into control and experimental groups. The results of the analysis showed that there was no effect of supportive group therapy on reducing anxiety about the future of Andikpas at LPKA Class I Medan as shown by the results of the Mann U Whitney test, namely p = 0.095 (p > 0.05).en_US
