| dc.description.abstract | This study analyzes literary works, namely syair, one of the famous old poetry forms of old Malay literature. In this study, Syair Senandung Mengyunkan Anak describes character values as a representation of the lyrics of Syair Senandung Mengyunkan Anak Khas Melayu found in Pulau Besar Village, Petatal, Batu Bara Regency. Syair humming swinging children is one of the Malay poems that contains lessons and advice, especially for children and parents so that they can be an example and can be applied in everyday life. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study is in the form of words, or sentences that show character values. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used in this study is the theory of representation. The results of this study, there are six character values in the lyrics of the humming verse swinging a typical Malay child of Pulau Besar Petatal village, Batu Bara Regency. The six character values are (a) religious character values, (b) disciplinary character values; (c) the character value of hard work; (d) the value of peace-loving character; (e) the value of socially caring character; (f) character value of responsibility. | en_US |
