Background: Chrysanthemum morifolium (Hemsl.) is one of the ornamental plants grown in the village of Raya, Karo district. According to research, white chrysanthemum flowers contain high levels of antioxidant compounds that can inhibit the growth of various kinds of microorganisms. Objective: The research aims to provide information on how to characterize the ethanol extract and the simplicity of the flower of white chrysanthemum morifolium (Ramat.) Hemsl. Methods: This study includes sampling, making simplisia, characterization simplisia, and extracting with the maseration method using 96% ethanol. Results: The results of the study showed that simplisia white chrysanthemum flowers obtained a water content of 7.92%, a water-soluble sulfur content of 12.95%, an ethanol solubility level of 16.84%, a total ash content of 4.8%, and an acid-insoluble ash level of 3.79%. The result of the characterization of the ethanolic extract obtained a water level of 13.20%, a total ash level of 2.98%, and an acid-solubility ash level of 1.33%. Conclusion: Four of the five parameters qualify for the test of the simplistic simplicity of white chrisanthemum flowers. Whereas one of the three parameters qualifies for a characterization test of ethanol extracts, white chryanthimum.en_US
