    Abstract
Backg round: The white criss (Chrysanthemum morifolium (Ramal.) Hems]) is a perennial plant belonging to the family Asteraceae that has been cultivated for more tha n 100 years. Cranberry has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anlimutagenic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiangiogenic, and nematicidal properties. Some of the compounds in the chrysanthemum are flavonoids such as luteolin, a pigeni n, acacetine, chol in, e and vitamin B I . It is also a source of vitamins C and A, niacin, folic acid, and pantothenic acid, which are good and also rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and phosphorus. These phytochem ica ls are seco nda ry metabolites that are present in s maller qua ntities in hig her quantities in plants, and they include alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, and many others. Objective: Th.is study aims to identify the secondary meta bolite compounds found in simplisia and ethanol extracts of white chrysanthemum mori folium (Ra.mat ) Hems l. Methods: Phytochemical screening includes tests of alkaloids, flavanoi ds, saponins, tannins, heart glycosides , s te roids, and triterpeno ids performed on simplisia and ethanol extracts. White chrysanthemum flowers are obtained from the village of Raya, Karo district. Res ults: Results obtained on white chrysanthem um flowers show that simplisia and ethanol extracts contain secondary metabolit e compounds including alkalo ids, flavanoids, saponins, and tannins. Conclusion: Simplisia and ethanol extracts of white chrysanthemum flowers contain alkaloid compounds, flav anoids, saponins, and tannins.
