Analisis Unsur Intrinsik Novel /Al-Ḥub Fī Zamani An-Nafṭ/ “Cinta di Kerajaan Minyak” Karya Nawal Al-Sa’dawi

Abstract

This research discusses the intrinsic elements of the novel Al-Ḥub fī zamani An-nafṭ/ “Love in the kingdom of oil” by Nawal Al-Sa’dawi. The research problems of studi are elements of plot and point of view. The purpose of the thesis research study is to describe plots and poin of view in the novel /Al-Ḥub fī zamani An-nafṭ/ “Love in the kingdom of oil” by Nawal Al-Sa’dawi using plots theory stated by Nurgiyantoro and point of view theory stated by Sumardjo & Saini. This research is library research which uses descriptive analysis methods. The Data collectied through using listening methods and note-taking techniques. The results of this research shows that in there are 17 events in the plot, conflicts of 15 pieces, and climaxes of 7 pieces. on the point of view elements section there are mixed point of view which consists of the third person’s point of view “He”, “They”, first person “I’’ point of view and the second person point of view “You”. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the novel is gendered surrealisme that visualize the nature of thinking. The author tells the connection between women with the history of egypt, pre-islamic period, to in a lawsuit role and the position of women in the repressive patriarchal order, on the contemporary egyptian culture.
