dc.description.abstract | Learning during the pandemic causes college students to study online. This online teaching and learning activity is a source of stress for college students. One way to deal with stress is exercise and a popular sport today is zumba. Zumba exercise which is included in emotional-focused coping from Lazarus and Folkman. This study aims to see the effect of zumba exercise on stress in college students during the covid-19 pandemic. This study has a pretest-posttest control group design and uses the random assignment method (N=8) to undergraduate students (S1). This research was conducted for 4 days in 2 weeks. Participants were divided into an experimental group and a control group, each of which had 4 participants. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney statistical test which showed a significance value of 0.48 (p.sig > 0.05, df = 1), that doing zumba exercise had no effect on college student stress during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the test results, there were no significant differences. significant effect on reducing stress by doing zumba exercise on college students, which means it is necessary to look for other stress coping alternatives to deal with stress. | en_US |
