    Abstract
This research aims to analyze parents' communication style in shaping a positive self-concept in Generation z adolescents in Polonia village, to analyze supporting factors in shaping a positive self-concept in Generation z adolescents in Polonia village, and to find an effective communication style in shaping a positive self- concept in Generation z adolescents in Polonia village. This research employs the theory of Communication Style by Norton in Liliweri (2011). This research employs a qualitative approach to analyze the findings which are then developed into research results. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observations and supported by documentation. Data obtained are analysed using Miles Huberman and Saldana methods that include data condensation, data display, and conclusion. Data obtained from Polonia village namely the number of parents whose occupation are government employees are higher than those whose occupation are private employees, which is 50 parents work as civil servants and 25 parents work as private employees. Due to data saturation, 5 informants are involved in this research. The research results indicate that some parents with different professional backgrounds use communication styles, including dominant style, dramatic style, open style, friendly style, attentive style, precise style, and controversial style as the dominant communication style that shape a positive self-concept in Generation z adolescents. The research finds an effective communication style in shaping a positive self-concept of Generation Z adolescents, namely Dominant Communication Style, Open Communication Style, and Friendly Communication Style. Furthermore, the results indicate that communication style can shape a positive self-concept in children.
