Analisis Proyeksi Produksi dan Kebutuhan Konsumsi Jagung di Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ratio between production and demand for corn consumption in North Sumatra Province in 2008 to 2022, and to find out the results of the analysis of forecasting production and demand for corn consumption in North Sumatra Province in 2023 to 2037. The methods used in this study are the descriptive analysis and the least square methods with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) program. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of time series data for corn production and consumption needs in the period 2008 to 2022. The research results obtained in this study using the descriptive analysis methods in 2008 to 2022 in North Sumatra Province show the higher corn production. large compared to corn consumption with a ratio of 1,18 with a total percentage growth rate of production in the last 15 years of 63,17% and a total percentage growth rate of consumption in the last 15 years of 79,92%. From the results of the forecasting analysis obtained for 2023 to 2037 in North Sumatra Province, it shows that the projected production and demand for corn consumption is experiencing a positive trend with a higher rate of increase in consumption growth compared to the rate of production growth.
