    Abstract
Technological advances in metal processing have many kinds, such as metal casting, metal forging, and powder metallurgy. Powder metallurgy can be used for various metals, one of which is the manufacture of copper-based EDM (electrical discharge machine) electrodes. This study aims to determine the effect of iron composition in CuNi10-Fe alloy on mechanical properties and electrical conductivity. The materials used in the CuNi10-Fe EDM electrode research are copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), and iron (Fe) powders. The powder mixing process using horizontal ball milling is carried out for 2 hours at a speed of 300 rpm, the powder that has been mixed well is weighed and then put into a mold to be compressed with a pressure of 250 MPa and a temperature of 120oC for 15 minutes and then the green body specimen is sintered at a temperature of 770oC for 120 minutes with an electric muffle furnace. Tests include density, Vickers hardness, compressive, electrical conductivity, and microstructure tests. The results of testing hardness and compressive strength which has the highest value in CuNi10Fe2.5 alloy with a value of 57.2 VHN, 219.01 MPa. Density and electrical conductivity test results are highest in CuNi10Fe0.5 alloy with values of 7.40 g/cm3, 45.79 x 106 S/m. The greater the composition of iron in CuNi10Fe alloy makes the microstructure of the alloy more oxides.
