Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kompos Kasgot Fermentasi Menggunakan Bioaktivator EM4 terhadap Produktivas Rumput Gajah Mini (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott)
The Effect of Fermented Kasgot Compost Fertilizer Using EM4 Bioactivator on The Productivity of Dwarft Elephant Grass (Pennisetum Purpureum cv. Mott)
Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of applying fermented kasgot compost fertilizer at different doses using the EM4 bioactivator on the productivity of Dwarft Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). The research was carried out at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatra Utara in February-April 2023. The design used was a 2x4 Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. The first factor is the dose of EM4 in kasgot fermentation, P0= Without fermentation and P1= Fermentation with 5ml/kg of material EM4, while the second factor is the dose of kasgot compost fertilizer N0= Without giving KCF; N1= KCF 10g/polybag; N2= KCF 20g/polybag; and N3= KCF 30g/polybag. The parameters observed include plant height, number of tillers, leaf length, number of leaves, fresh weight production and dry material production.
The results showed that the utility of fermented kasgot compost with EM4 had a significant effect (P<0.05) on plant height of Dwarft elephant grass, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the number of tillers, number of leaves, leaf length, fresh weight production and dry weight production of Dwarft elephant grass. The conclusion of this research is that the use of kasgot compost fermented using EM4 is able to increase plant height of Dwarft elephant grass, but is not able to increase the number of tillers, number of leaves, leaf length, fresh weight production and dry weight production of Dwarft Elephant Grass. In the treatment, the dose of kasgot compost fermented by EM4 of 30g/polybag was the best treatment in influencing the productivity of Dwarft elephant grass.
