Evaluasi Sistem Instalasi Kelistrikan pada Gedung Graha Pelindo 1 Belawan
Evaluation of the Electrical Installation System at the Graha Pelindo 1 Belawan Building
Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the electrical installation system at Graha Pelindo I Belawan, which is rented, focusing on lighting and Air Conditioner (AC) loads in accordance with the General Electrical Installation Requirements (PUIL) of 2011. The evaluation primarily focuses on two crucial aspects, namely the cross-sectional area of the cable for current-carrying capacity and the selection of circuit breakers. The research involves measurements and calculations of the cable's cross-sectional area to ensure compliance with the PUIL 2011 standards, which are essential to maintain the smoothness and safety of the electrical flow. Furthermore, the analysis also focuses on the selection of circuit breakers, ensuring that the protective devices used align with the characteristics of the existing loads and comply with safety standards. This evaluation found that larger cable selections were made under the pretext of potential load additions. Additionally. There are still many inappropriate circuit breaker choices that should be given Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB)2A, 44, 60A but Pelindo uses MCB with a rating capacity that is too large. The results of this evaluation will provide guidance to the building owners in determining the level of compliance of their electrical installation system with the 2011 General Electrical Installation Requirements (PUIL). Additionally, it will indicate whether repairs or improvements are necessary to ensure safety and optimal performance in supporting the lighting and air conditioning loads within the building.
