Respons Pertumbuhan Dua Varietas Kacang Hijau (Vigna radiata L.) terhadap Pemberian Berbagai Konsentrasi Larutan Bawang Merah
Response of Growth and Production of Two Varieties of Mung Beans (Vigna radiata L.) to The Application of Various Concentrations of Shallot Extract
Abstract
This research aims to obtain the best varieties of mung beans (Vigna radiata) and provide the best concentration of shallot extract to increase root growth of mung beans (Vigna radiata). This research was conducted on Jl. Becek Kec. Namorambe, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra from May to July 2023. This research used the Randomized Block Design (RAK) method which consisted of 3 replications with 2 treatment factors. The first factor is the green bean variety with 2 varieties, namely the Vima 1 (V1) variety and the Vima 3 (V3) variety. The second factor is shallot extract which consists of 3 levels, namely without shallot extract (B0), 25% shallot extract (B1), 50% shallot extract (B2). The results of the research showed that the treatment of mung bean varieties had a significant effect on the parameters of leaf number, flowering age, root length, root wet weight, root dry weight. The shallot extract treatment had a significant effect on the parameters of the number of pods per plant and root length. The interaction between variety and shallot extract had no significant effect on all parameters.
