dc.description.abstract | Mutation is one of the plant breeding activities to increase the genetic diversity of a plant. Mutant power tests are carried out to see the potential yield of candidate varieties compared with commercial varieties and then select the plants again to continue in the next selection. The aim of the research was to determine the production of soybean mutants in Serdang Bedagai district. Research in open land in Firdaus village, hamlet 3, Kec. Sei Rampah, Serdang Bedagai Regency in May - October 2023. This research used a Randomized Block Design with 1 factor. The parameters observed were: plant height, number of primary branches, age at flowering, age at harvest, number of seeds planted, number of filled pods, number of empty pods, weight of seeds planted, weight of 100 seeds, yield potential. Overall, the mutant line had good results, although it was not significantly different from the comparison line. Soybean genotype M100 A25 (2/7) (G4) had the highest average with an average of 2.35 grams. The results of the research show that the lines have production capabilities that are balanced with the comparison varieties. | en_US |
