dc.description.abstractCV. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the hair care industry. The problem faced by the company is that there is waste such as waiting time and a product defect of 9.98% which exceeds the company's limit of 5%. The purpose of this research is to identify and eliminate non-value added activities and reduce product defects with Lean Six Sigma and proposed improvements with the TRIZ method. Based on the results of observations and measurements in CV. XYZ, obtained 19 value added time activities of 309.44 minutes, 4 necessary non value added time activities of 2.43 minutes and 2 non value added time activities of 63.28 minutes with manufacturing lead time of 375.15 minutes, process cycle efficiency level of 82.48% and process velocity of 0.0038 processes per hour. Then it is fixed in the material, human and method categories and further analyze using TRIZ to get improvement suggestions related to the factors that cause product defects. From the calculation results obtained a sigma level of 3.33 to 3.63 with the application of 50% of the estimated quality improvement results, then 2 non value added activities were eliminated so there is a reduction in manufacturing lead time of 63.28 minutes, an increase process cycle efficiency to 99.22%, and increase process velocity to 0.0033 processes per hour.en_US
