Analisis Perbandingan Pendapatan antara Usahatani Jagung Pipil dengan Usahatani Jagung Manis di Desa Pasar VI Kwala Mencirim, Kecamatan Sei Bingai, Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the income comparison between pipil corn farming and sweet corn farming in Desa Pasar VI Kwala Mencirim , Kecamatan Sei Bingai, Kabupaten Langkat. The research area determined deliberately with the consideration that Kecamatan Sei Bingai was chosen because it is one of the corn-producing areas in Kabupaten Langkat . Sampling of 60 people with 30 samples each between shell corn and sweet corn farming was determined by the Stratified Random Sampling method. The analytical method used is a different test with the difference test of two means (Independent Sample T-Test). Primary data obtained through interviews with respondents using a questionnaire. The results showed that there was a significant difference between shelled corn farming and sweet corn farming in the study area, that is, there was a difference in production where shelled corn farming obtained higher yields than sweet corn farming, the production costs of shelled corn farming were lower than sweet corn farming. and the income from shelled corn farming is higher than the income from sweet corn farming. Pipil Corn Farming is worth cultivating, and Sweet Corn Farming is also worth cultivating.
