The UMKM Square building is an architectural design project that aims to create a conducive environment for the growth and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This building was designed taking into account the special needs of MSMEs, as well as integrating elements of creativity and functionality to support diverse businesses. The reality is that around the building planning area there are still no facilities to accommodate the surrounding MSMEs. Around the planning area of the building, there are also many street vendors who do not regularly sell on the pedestrian path, thus preventing pedestrians from using the pedestrian path. So they have to use the shoulder of the road which will be dangerous. This design is based on the question of how to design buildings that can accommodate MSME actors around the building design area with comfortable and pleasant visitor circulation and apply elements of industrial architectural themes, how can this building be used as an open space for social interaction comfortably and pleasantly by applying the pedestrian oriented concept, how to make pedestrian paths safe to pass and make street vendors to be regular in selling in this building. To answer the question that forms the basis of this building planning, the UMKM Square building was created so that it can accommodate the surrounding UMKM actors with comfortable and pleasant circulation, can create a comfortable and pleasant place for social interaction in this UMKM Square building, and can provide a place that neat and orderly for the street vendors around. In order for the objectives of the UMKM Square building planning to be successful, several design methods were carried out, namely from site surveys, conducting case studies with similar buildings, conducting spatial and spatial analysis, creating building concepts using industrial architectural themes, and developing building concepts. Some of the analyzes used for the design process carried out are function analysis, outdoor space analysis, climate analysis, utility analysis, physical analysis of surrounding buildings/skyline, analysis of traffic patterns, analysis of spatial dimensions and types of space. The design concept used in the design of this building is with the theme of industrial and pedestrian-oriented architecture. So, this building is designed with a building facade that faces the road or to the south, with an open garden in front of the building and in the middle of the building which is an open space and there is no fence that limits it so that anyone can directly use the open space park and access to it. The main building can be seen directly from the pedestrian.en_US
