dc.description.abstractThe technical implementation unit for the management unit for Region II Pematang Siantar, the Forestry Service of North Sumatra Province has several forest farmer groups that have a Memorandum of Understanding (NKK) as a partner of KPH Region II Pematang Siantar with pine resin tapping business. There are 7 (seven) forest farmer groups that have made a Memorandum of Understanding (NKK) as partners of KPH region II Pematangn Siantar with the pine resin tapping business, namely the Mantap Cooperative, Gapoktan Karya Bersama, Luhur cooperative, KTH Wahana, KTH Mandiri, KTH Bloom, KTH Gorbus Nauli which is located in Simalungun Regency. Forestry partnerships are collaborations between local communities and forest managers, holders of business permits for forest utilization/forest services, permits for borrow-to-use forest areas or holders of business permits for the primary industry of forest products. Forestry partnerships will open up business opportunities and information on the pine resin market, among others by reducing bureaucratic barriers. This study aims to (i) determine the income of farmers before and after obtaining a forestry partnership permit with UPT.KPH Region II Pematang Siantar (ii) determine the order of priority of factors affecting the income of pine resin tapping farmers using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method, (iii) ) Analyzing pine resin management strategies to increase revenue using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats). The research was conducted from February to July 2021. The results of the income analysis of pine resin tappers farmers obtained that KTH had the highest income for the Mantap Cooperative and the lowest income was KTH Mekar. AHP results from 7 KTH The order of priority of the factors that affect income is the price factor and the alternative is the condition of the tappers. The SWOT analysis of pine resin management resulted in a strategy in quadrant 1 position. This strategy shows that it can make the best use of opportunities to minimize weaknesses and use strengths as the main capital to suppress threatsen_US
