Potensi Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Obat Diabetes di Desa Namo Sialang Kawasan Penyangga Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser Kabupaten Langkat Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Exploration of plant types effective as diabetic drugs was researched to see their potential utilization by people in Namo Sialang Village in the buffer area of Gunung Leuser National Park in Langkat Regency. This study was conducted in Namo Sialang Village, a buffer area of Gunung Leuser National Park, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. This study aims to identify the species of medicinal plants for diabetic and assess the potential utilization of medicinal plants for diabetic in Namo Sialang village in the buffer area of Gunung Leuser National Park. The methods used in this study were observation, library studies and interviews with questionnaires. The results of the study were obtained 2 types of plants that have been used by the public, namely; meniran and betel and 21 types of plants that have potential as medicinal plants for diabetes.
