Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a new pest on corn crops in Indonesia, originating from the America and spreading to several countries and causing loss of corn yield. Early in 2019. This pest was reported to attack corn plants in Sumatra. This research was carried out at the UPT Tanjung Selamat Seed Center, with a height of 30 meters above sea level from March until June 2023.This study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with variety treatment: local (Sukmaraga), Pioner 32, Bisi 18, and NK-212. The results showed that the highest percentage of S. frugiperda attacks was obtained at 5 wap of 59.6%, namely the Pioner 32 variety and the lowest at 7 wap of 35.4%, namely the NK - 212 variety. The highest intensity was obtained at 3 wap at 39%, namely the Pioner 32 variety and the lowest at 7 wap at 17.50%. The highest corn crop production was obtained in the Pioner 32 variety at 10.6 kg and the lowest in the Sukmaraga variety at 8 kg. So it can be concluded that corn varieties does not have a real influence on the attack of pest S. frugiperda, this is because S. frugiperda pests have polyphage properties, so the percentage of pest attacks has an insignificant difference, The intensity of S. frugiperda attacks has differences every time this is suspected because of the difference in each S. frugiperda larval instar who have different feed needs for each instar
