Mustard is a type of vegetable that is favored by all groups of society because it tastes good, and is easy to obtain. Mustard commonly cultivated in Indonesia uses Tosakan and Shinta varieties. To achieve maximum production, requires the selection of good varieties and the right fertilization, KCaMgS compound fertilizer is one of the fertilizers that can support maximum mustard production. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of plant growth and yield of two mustard varieties at various doses of KCaMgS compound fertilizer. This research was conducted from August to October 2023, located in the Screenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, at an altitude of ± 32 meters above sea level. The method used in this study was a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors, namely the variety factor with Tosakan and Shinta and the compound fertilizer factor, with five level 0; 0.46; 0.93; 1.40; and 1.87 grams. The parameter observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, plant wet weight, and plant dry weight. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variant, with significantly different results will be tested further with the Duncant Multiple Range Test method at the 5% level. The results showed that the variety treatment had a significant effect on the observed variables of plant wet weight but no significant effect on other observed variables, while the compound fertilizer treatment had a significant effect on the observed variables of plant height, leaf area, plant wet weight, and plant dry weight but no significant effect on the number of leaves. The interaction between the two treatments had no significant effect on all observed variables. The conclusion obtained is the use of KCaMgS compound fertilizer at a dose of 1.87 grams per polybag to get maximum results in mustard plants such as plant height, leaf area, plant wet weight and plant dry weight.en_US
