dc.description.abstract | Distribution of clean water to customers is important, and we as humans cannot be separated from the need for clean water, so it is necessary to evaluate the clean water supply system network in North Labuhan Batu Regency, especially the distribution pipe network system. This is done to determine the obstacles that occur the distribution pipe network in order to optimize water supply to consumers. The main things evaluated are pressure, speed and headloss.
This type of research is descriptive quantitative, namely a method of calculating and describing the result of field data processing from each location reviewed. The method used in this study is first to conduct a location survey in the research area, then collect data related to the clean water distribution system and analyze the data using the EPANET 2.0 program and the assistance od the Microsoft Excel program.
Based on data from the Clean Water UPT of North Labuhan Batu Regency, it was found that the average water loss per costumer was 40% and the total average costumer water usage was 0.0155 liters/second/costumer. Based on the result of population projections, the estimated number of North Labuhan Batu Regency Clean Water UPT costumers in 2031 is 550 before evaluation is carried out, in some pipes the speeds is still too low and does not meet the requirements of Minister of Public Work Regulayion no 18 of 2007.
Therefore, and evaluation was carried out by reducing several pipe diameters.
Therefore, pipes that do not meet the design criteria need to be replaced so that the drinking water distribution network can run optimally. Considering that the availibality of water is decreasing every year, it is hoped that its use will be as affective as possible. | en_US |
