Analisis Implementasi Sistem Deteksi Gangguan, Isolasi dan Pemulihan dalam Meningkatkan Keandalan Sistem pada Penyulang PA.03-PA.07 (Studi Kasus: PT. PLN Unit Pelaksana Pengatur Distribusi Sumatera Utara)
Analysis of the Implementation of the Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery System in Improving System Reliability at the PA.03-PA.07 Feeder (Case Study: PT. PLN North Sumatra Distribution Management Implementation Unit)
Abstract
The development of increasing electricity demand from year to year encourages PT. PLN
(Persero) to provide electricity with good quality. The reliability of the electricity supply is also
an important factor that can be improved by understanding the quality and reliability of service
to consumers. One way to improve system reliability is to implement a fault detection,
isolation, and recovery system called FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, and Restoration), an
automated distribution network system that allows faster operation to restore power supply.
This study aims to analyze the effect of FDIR implementation on SAIDI (System Average
Interruption Duration Index) and ENS (Energy Not Served) on PA.03 and PA.07 feeders.
The results showed that after the implementation of FDIR, there was a significant
decrease in SAIDI and ENS values in PA.03 and PA.07 feeders. In the PA.03 feeder, there was
a 99% decrease in percentage in SAIDI from 0.260868 minutes/customer to 0.002720
minutes/customer. As for the PA.07 feeder, there was a 99% decrease in percentage in SAIDI
from 0.194689 minutes/customer to 0.002763 minutes/customer. The decrease in the
percentage of ENS also occurred with a 96% decrease in the PA.03 feeder, from 1504.618736
kWh to 60.87351 kWh. In the PA.07 feeder, there was a 95% percentage decrease from
941.44900 kWh to 47.09189 kWh. These results show that FDIR implementation significantly
lowers the value of SAIDI and ENS, indicating an increase in system reliability in the feeder
studied.
