Rancang Bangun Alat Monitoring dan Pemberi Pakan Ikan Berbasis IoT
Design of IoT-Based Fish Feeding and Monitoring Tools
Abstract
Catfish cultivation is an agribusiness sector that has high economic potential and is the choice of many farmers to obtain a stable income. One of the challenges often faced by farmers is monitoring the environmental conditions of catfish ponds in real-time and providing feed in a timely manner and in the right amount according to the fish's needs. For fish, food is a need that must be met for their survival and the pH of the water has a big influence on the development of fish life. In this research, a system was designed that can work to feed fish based on the pH value of the water in the pond. The hardware in this system is implemented using an ESP32 as the main control device, a servo motor as a driver to open the door or gap dividing the fish feed area, a pH sensor as a tool to measure the pH quality of the water. Apart from that, an Android-based Blynk application was also developed to monitor feeding schedules and pH values in water. The test was carried out in real time in fish ponds with three scheduling times which resulted in an average pH value of 7, which means the water condition was in a balanced or neutral state. The trial in one month resulted in a fish weighing 245 grams with a length of 10-12 cm.
