Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Pasien dengan Resiko Hipertensi di Kecamatan Binjai Kabupaten Langkat Desa Tanjung Jati di Dusun 17 Banten Baru

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of at least 140mmHg or diastolic pressure of at least 90mmHg. Blood pressure is measured with a properly calibrated sphygmomanometer (80% of the size of the cuff over the arm) after the patient is comfortably rested. The purpose of this senior practicum is to apply nursing theories and concepts in managing and providing nursing care to patients at risk of hypertension. Nursing care was carried out for three patients by providing health education about hypertension and how to do early detection and control of blood pressure. The results obtained after being given health education, the three patients responded very well and were enthusiastic about hearing the health education given. The patient understands about hypertension and the risks that occur to him, so that the patient changes his behavior to adopt a healthy lifestyle with reduced risk factors such as reducing excess salt consumption, and an appropriate diet, doing regular exercise. It is recommended for family patients to get used to always checking their blood pressure regularly as a form of early prevention of hypertension.
