Myth is a kind of fairy tale related to people's beliefs. Myths are usually used to give warnings, or are told continuously or can change due to the ever-evolving era. Many regions in Indonesia have many myths that create disbelief, but provide many moral messages and life lessons. This paper describes the meaning and outlines the myth of the ban on Javanese marriages on Sundanese. In this paper the author uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data source for this research was obtained from parents who were interviewed who knew about the myth of the ban on Javanese marriages against Sundanese. And also through books or journals on the internet for supporting data. The result of this research is to show that the Javanese ban on Sundanese marriages is just a myth. The conclusion of this paper is that it implies that no matter how advanced the times are, stories about myths still exist and will always live on in the culture of Indonesian society. The myth about forbidden marriages between Javanese and Sundanese basically stems from the Bubat War that occurred through the wedding invitation strategy.en_US
