| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the application of risk management carried out by the bank to minimize the risk of bad credit at PT. Bank SUMUT. The type of data used in this research is descriptive qualitative, in the form of explanatory data or requirements about the application of risk management to minimize the credit risk of PT. Bank SUMUT for the 2019-2022 period. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis method. The results showed that PT. Bank SUMUT has implemented credit risk management well, namely through the supervision of the board of commissioners and directors, policy procedures and limit setting, the process of identifying, measuring, monitoring, and credit risk management information, and credit risk control. To minimize credit risk, PT. Bank SUMUT has implemented risk management and proven successful in minimizing non-performing loans. The success of PT. Bank SUMUT can be proven through Non-Performing Loan data which does not exceed the Financial Services Authority’s requirement of 5%. PT. Bank SUMUT in minimizing the occurrence of loan defaults forms a strategy to mitigate risk and reinforces the application of the precautionary principle on credit granting decisions, in order to minimize risk. | en_US |
