Abstract

Simple Savings (Student Savings) is a savings account for students issued by PT. Bank SUMUT, with easy requirements and attractive features in the context of learning (education) and is expected to form the character of students who are thrifty, careful, and encourage a culture of saving from an early age. This study aims to determine the stages of opening an education savings product account, knowing the conditions needed to open an education product account at PT. North Sumatra Bank. Data obtained from one of the companies in Medan, namely PT. Bank of North Sumatra by conducting interviews. Bank Sumut makes simple savings products to make it easier for students to save With the existence of simple savings, it can educate students, parents and the school regarding knowledge and understanding of financial institutions, one of which is savings products, increasing access to finance that is easy to reach, low costs, attractive features, creating a culture of fond of saving and financial training from an early age. By making simple savings, you can practice frugality, have an emergency fund, secure wealth and a culture of saving from an early age.
