Circulation Services at Universitas Prima Indonesia Library
Abstract
The research was carried out at the UNPRI library. The research aimed to investigate the circulation service at the UNPRI library. The data collection methods comprised literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings describe that the UNPRI library circulation services are for 1) Membership. The UNPRI library has a systematic membership, 2) Lending services, the process of borrowing library collections through a reservation system via the SIAM UNPRI website; 3) Return service, the activity of returming library materials has the same procedure, namely reservation via SIAM UNPRI. 4) Extension service in the library circulation, the facility allows users to extend the borrowing period for books or library collections. 5) Billing. UNPRI library billing activity was executed by taking fürther steps such as blocking access to library services or reporting the problem to the authonties at the educational institution 6) Every user who is late, damages, or loses will be given a sanction. 7) Free lending, a facility in circulation services refers to a type of borrowing where users are free to borrow library materials for a longer period or without being subject to late fines. 8) Statistical record which is significant in library management.
