Kegiatan Pengatalogan Deskriptif Bahan Pustaka pada Perpustakaan Universitas Prima Indonesia

Abstract

This study was conducted at Prana Indonesia University Library. The study aims to determine the Descriptive Cataloging practices of Library Materials at Prima Indonesia University Library. This study uses data collection methods, such as literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study explained how Descriptive Cataloging Activities are carried out: 1) In making main and additional headings in the context of cataloging and bibliography, the Librarians of Prina University Library involve several stages. 2) At this time, the materials or types of collections from the library that are available in the most significant mumber are collection materials of the Book type and reference collections such as Journals, Theses, encyclopedias, and other references. 3) In determining the bibliographic description, Prima Indonesia University Library is guided by the AACR2 standardization.
