Pengaruh Beberapa Perangkap Bangkai terhadap Populasi Walang Sangit Leptocorisa acuta (Hemiptera:Alydidae) pada Tanaman Padi di Desa Pardomuan Nainggolan Kecamatan Pahae Jae Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara
The Influence of Several Carrion Traps on the Population of Rice Bug Pests Leptocorisa acuta (Hemiptera:Alydidae) in Pardomuan Nainggolan Village, Pahae Jae Subdistrict, North Tapanuli Regency
Abstract
The rice plant (Oryza sativa) is very important in global agriculture, because more than half of the world's population depends on this plant as its main food source. The attack of Leptocorisa acuta is one of the obstacles in increasing rice production. This research aims to obtain information regarding the best animal carcass traps, namely: shrimp shells, fish gills and snail meat to control the L. acuta population. This research was conducted from August to December 2023. This research employed a Non-Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of four replications with the following treatments: control, shrimp shell 150 g, fish gills 150 g and snail meat 150 g. The research results indicate that there is no significant difference in the treatment of carcass traps on the trapped population of L. acuta, attack percentage, and production. The best carcass trap for controlling the population of L. acuta is by using 150 g of shrimp shell (P1), and the highest attack percentage occurred in the control treatment (P0). The highest rice yield is found in the treatment with 150 g of shrimp shell (P1).
