dc.description.abstract | Efforts can be made to increase soybean productivity by improving cultivation such as variety selection and the use of compound fertilizers containing K-Ca-Mg-S nutrients that can support plant growth and production. This study aims to determine the effect of applying several doses of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer on two soybean varieties. This research was conducted at Jalan Bunga Kenanga, Padang Bulan Selayang II, Medan Selayang Subdistrict, Medan with an altitude of ±25 meters above sea level from July to October 2023. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is soybean varieties namely Devon 1 and Dering 1, the second factor is the dose of K-Ca-Mg-S compound fertilizer consisting of 0; 0,5; 1; and 2,1 (g/polybeg). The results showed that Devon 1 and Dering 1 varieties differed in terms of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of productive branches, number of pods, seed weight and 100 seed weight. The Devon 1 variety has a higher plant height, number of pods, seed weight and 100 seed weight, the Dering 1 variety has a faster flowering and harvesting age and a higher number of productive branches, while both have no effect on total leaf area, crown dry weight, root dry weight and chlorophyll. Application of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer at a dose of 2.1 g/polybeg had a significant effect on the number of pods and seed weight. The interaction of variety and dose of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer had no significant effect on all observation parameters. | en_US |
