dc.description.abstract | This research aims to describe the moral values in the novel Iyan Not The Middle Child by Armaraher using the sociology of literature approach. The study employs the theory of moral values presented by Andri Wicaksono. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data presented are in the from of quotitations, narratives,and dialogues between characters that contain moral values. Data collection is carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. The results of the study can be concluded that the moral values found in the novel Iyan Not The Middle Child by Armaraher are: (1) human relationships with God, including a) gratitude, b) belief in the existence of God. (2) human relationship with themselves, including a) patience, b) politeness, c) honesty, d) self-esteem, e) longing, f) fear, g) revenge, h) loneliness, i) sadness, j) pessimism, k) responsibility. (3) human relationships with other people, including a) caring for others, b) living in harmony, c) forgiving, d) helping each other, e) deliberation, f) respecting others, g) true love, h) keeping promises. (4) human relationships with the universe, including a) utilizing natural resources, b) protecting nature. | en_US |
