    Abstract
    The wheat grass plant is a microgreen that is consumed fresh and harvested at 7-14 DAP.This research aims to determine the effect of harvest time and the composition of the best planting media on phytochemical content Microgreen Wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum L.). This research was carried out at the Screen House and Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatera at an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level (asl) (3° 34' 0.67'' N, 98° 39' 32.91'' E) from December 2023 to January 2024 This research used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two treatment factors, first factors namely harvest time 8 DAP, 10 DAP, 12 DAP and the second factor, namely the composition of the planting media M0 (control using top soil), M1 top soil cocopeat (1:1) , M2 top rice husk charcoal (1:1) and M3 top soil cocopeat rice husk charcoal (1:1:1). The results showed that harvest time treatment (10 DAP) had a significant effect on chlorophyll A, total chlorophyll and flavonoids, and harvest time 12 DAP on production of wheatgrass. Planting media treatment M1 had a significant effect on phenolics and total chlorophyll, and M3 on chlorophyll a. The combination treatment P2M1 (harvest 10 DAP media top soil : cocopeat 1:1) had a significant effect on chlorophyll A and total chlorophyll.
