Human resources are a valuable asset for the company. However, the
problems faced by many companies are always related to employees because
there are still many companies that do not pay attention and care about
improving work performance. Therefore, companies must think about how to
improve work performance so that employees continue to achieve company goals
optimally. There are several ways to increase work performance improvement,
namely incentive giving and performance productivity.
This research aims to analyze the influence of incentive giving and
performance productivity on work performance improvement at PTPN IV Medan.
The influence of incentive giving and performance productivity will be analyzed
partially and simultaneously on work performance improvement.
The form of research used in this research is quantitative research with
an associative approach. The population and sample used for this research
amounted to 76 respondents with a side technique, namely probability sampling
using the Slovin formula. Primary data used in this research was obtained by
distributing questionnaires directly, while secondary data was obtained through
literature study. The data analysis methods used are validity testing, reliability
testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression testing, and
hypothesis testing.
The results of the research conducted show that the variables incentive
giving (X1) and performance productivity (X2) have a partial and simultaneous
effect on work performance improvement at PTPN IV Medan. Based on the
determinant coefficient test, it was found that the magnitude of the relationship
between the incentive giving (X1) and performance productivity (X2) variables on
the work performance improvement variable was with an R value of 0.847.
Through the adjusted R square value, it is also known that the variables between
incentive giving and performance productivity contribute 71.0% to the work
performance improvement variable while the remaining 29.0% is influenced by
other variables not discussed in this research
