    Abstract
This study reviews the development of halal tourism in Lake Toba, focusing on the Tomok Parsaoran Tourism Village. The focus is on the importance of providing halal food to increase the comfort of tourists, especially Muslim tourists, who are attracted by the beauty of Lake Toba and the uniqueness of the sigale-gale statue in Tomok. The research method used is qualitative with direct observation and in-depth interviews to obtain accurate data. Researchers examined the infrastructure, cleanliness of public facilities, infrastructure and environmental cleanliness of Tomok Parsaoran Village. Interviews were also conducted to understand community perceptions of the concept of halal tourism in the village. Tomok Parsaoran Village has great potential for tourism development, but still requires improvement, especially in infrastructure and cleanliness. However, there is a guaranteed provision of halal food and cleanliness in the village. Apart from that, harmonious relations between residents of different religions and ethnicities can also be seen there. The importance of halal tourism in advancing tourism in Indonesia was emphasized, especially the potential of Tomok Parsaoran Village. Although there are concerns from some communities regarding the concept of halal tourism due to potential changes in their environment, the research results show that there is strong support for the development of halal tourism in Tomok Parsaoran Village. Providing halal food and improving infrastructure and cleanliness are key factors in developing halal tourism in Tomok Parsaoran Village. Support from the community and stakeholders will strengthen this village's position as an attractive halal tourist destination around Lake Toba.
