dc.description.abstract | One of the efforts to increase the growth and production of tomato plants is by applying fertilizers containing nutrients K-Ca-Mg and S. This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersium L.) to the application of K-Ca-Mg-S compound fertilizer. This study used a Non Factorial Randomized Group Design with the treatment of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer with 4 dose levels, namely 0 (control), 0,625 g/plant (125 kg/ha), 1,25 g/plant (250 kg/ha) and 1,875 g/plant (375 kg/ha). The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of branches, root wet weight, crown wet weight, root dry weight, crown dry weight, flowering age, fruiting age, fruit diameter per plant, fruit weight per plant and harvest index. The results can be concluded that the application of K-Ca-Mg-S compound fertilizer has a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of branches, root wet weight, crown wet weight, root dry weight and crown dry weight. Application of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer at a dose of 1,875 g/plant produced better growth of tomato plants compared to doses of 1,25 g/plant and 0,625 g/plant. The application of K-Ca-Mg-S compound fertilizer had a significant effect on flowering age, fruiting age, fruit diameter per plant and fruit weight per plant. Application of K-Ca-Mg-S fertilizer at a dose of 1,875 g/plant accelerated flowering and fruiting, and produced higher fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant compared to doses of 1,25 g/plant and 0,625 g/plant. | en_US |
