    Abstract
The high intensity of cropping and production causes soil nutrient depletion, decreases fertilizer efficiency, and some land experiences saturated production. Therefore, soil bioenrichment efforts are needed, including the use of local microorganisms (MOL) such as papaya fruit, which can provide a natural source of nutrients for plants and support sustainable food crop production in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to analyze the response of papaya fruit MOL on soybean growth and production. This research was conducted in the field of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency Climatology Station Class 1 Sumatera Utara in October 2023 - January 2024. This study used a non factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications and 7 treatments, namely 0 ml/L; 40 ml/L at 2 weeks of planting; 40 ml/L at 4 weeks of planting; 40 ml/L at 6 weeks of planting; 60 ml/L at 2 weeks of planting; 60 ml/L at 4 weeks of planting; and 60 ml/L at 6 weeks of planting. The results showed that the treatment of local microorganism concentration of papaya fruit 40ml/L and application time 6 weeks of planting was the best treatment because it could increase the number of filled pods per plant, dry weight of 100 seeds, and dry weight of seeds per sample. The treatment of concentration of 60 ml/L and application time of 6 weeks of planting was able to increase the dry weight of seeds per plot.
