Continuous use of inorganic fertilizers can have bad effects on the soil. By adding biochar and jakaba, the organic content can be increased, the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil can be improved so that land will be sustainable to use. This research aims to determine the effect of providing corn cob biochar and jakaba liquid organic fertilizer on corn growth and production. This research was carried out at the Syngenta Learning Center, Tiga Binanga District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. This location is at coordinates 3°55'47.34'' East Longitude and 98°64'58.76'' South Latitude with an altitude of ± 600 m above sea level from November to March 2024. This research used a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of 2 factors with 3 repetitions. The first factor is doses corn cob biochar with 3 levels : 0, 750, 1500 kg/ha. Factor two doses of jakaba with 3 levels : 0, 1.5, 3 L/ha. Providing 1500 kg/ha of biochar actually produced the highest leaf area. Giving jakaba did not have a significant effect on all observation parameters. The interaction of corn cob biochar and jakaba doses had a significant effect on the weight of the cobs with husks, the weight of the cobs without husks and the weight of dry beans per sample. The highest weight of husked cobs was in the combination without biochar and 1.5 L/ha of jakaba. The highest cob weight without husks was in the combination of 1,500 kg/ha biochar and jakaba 3 L/ha. The highest dry seed weight per sample was in the combination of 1500 kg/ha corncob biochar and 3 L/ha jakaba which was not significantly different from the treatment without biochar with 1.5 L/ha jakaba, 750 kg/ha biochar treatment without jakaba or jakaba application 1.5 L/ha and 3 L/ha as well as 1500 kg/ha biochar treatment without application of jakaba or 1.5 L/ha jakaba.en_US
