The bagworm Metisa plana is an important pest that is often found in oil palm plantations and until now its control is still using synthetic insecticides. The use of chemicals needs to be reduced with biological agents in the form of entomopathogens, namely Beauveria spp. This research aimed to test the effectiveness of 3 isolates of the entompathogenic fungus Beauveria spp. to control M. plana in different larval instars. This research was carried out from November 2023 until February 2024. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 treatments: origin of isolates (Baringan garden, Madina garden and Tanah Datar garden) and larval instars (1, 3 and 5) with three replications. The results showed that Beauveria spp. from three isolate origins with a dose of 90 gr/l was 100% effective in controlling M. plana 1st instar larvae on the 9th day of observation. The highest percentage (73.3%) of larvae became pupae in the control treatment of 5th instar larvae and the lowest (0%) in the treatment of three isolate origins, 1st instar larvae. The highest percentage of mycosis (24%) was treated with Istar 1 larvae with isolates from Bailang and the highest mummification (88.8%) for 3rd instar larvae treated with isolates from Madina. The Lethal Time 50 (LT50) value was the shortest (5 days) in the treatment of all isolates, 1st instar larvae and the longest LT 50 (10 days) in the treatment of isolates from Madina, 5th instar larvae.
