dc.description.abstract | In this era of globalization, with increasingly fierce business competition,
companies are required to not only focus on achieving financial targets, but also
must pay attention to the welfare of their human resources. Job satisfaction is one
of the key indicators in assessing employee welfare.
This study aims to analyze whether there is an effect of work life balance
and employee engagement on employee job satisfaction at PT Perkebunan
Nusantara IV Medan.
The form of research used is quantitative with an associative approach. The
population in this study was all employees of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Medan
totaling 78 people with nonprobability sampling techniques. Primary data were
obtained through direct distribution of questionnaires and secondary data were
obtained through literature studies. The analysis methods used are validity tests,
reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, partial tests,
simultaneous tests, and determination tests and are processed through SPSS
Software.
The results of this study showed that Work Life Balance had a significant
positive effect on Job Satisfaction, a calculated value of 4.956 > 1.992 with a sig
value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient value of 0.654. Employee
Engagement has a significant positive effect on Job Satisfaction, obtained a
calculated value of 2.603 > 1.992 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive
regression coefficient value of 0.347. In simultaneous testing, the variables Work
Life Balance and Employee Engagement had a simultaneous effect with an
influence level of 39.3%, while the remaining 60.7% was influenced by factors
outside this research model. | en_US |
