dc.description.abstract | The presence of NaCl in saline soils can have a significant impact on the microbial community in the soil. The main mechanism used by PGPR bacteria to reduce plant stress due to salinity stress is to reduce ethylene levels. Certain PGPR bacteria have the enzyme ACC Deaminase which can degrade ACC into ammonia and α-ketobutyrate, thus reducing ethylene levels in plants, especially during the vegetative period. This study aims to obtain isolates of ACC Deaminase-producing bacteria in saline soils that are able to control stress due to salinity stress and to determine the potential of ACC Deaminase-producing microbes in saline soils. This research consists of several stages, namely screening ACC deaminase-producing microbes in DF + ACC media, testing microbes whether they are antagonistic, testing the ability of microbes whether they are pathogenic and testing the potential of microbes in saline soils. The results showed that there were 9 microbes that were able to grow on DF + ACC media. In the potential test in saline soil for 30 days of incubation, it was found that the 10 microbial isolates tested were able to affect soil pH and were able to increase the total microbial population. | en_US |
