    Abstract
The city park play a very important role in shaping a healthy and sustainable urban environment due to their benefits as oxygen providers, as well as spaces for recreational activities and tourism, and as habitats for urban biodiversity. Therefore, maintenance of urban parks is necessary to fulfill their functions optimally, including monitoring the condition of facilities and tree health within them. This research aims to analyze the vegetation density index and tree health in urban parks, as well as the correlation between the two. In this research, the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) method is used. NDVI is a spatial analysis that measures vegetation index by comparing near-infrared light reflection with red light, used in monitoring and analyzing vegetation and land cover changes. The Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method is also used, which is a systematic process to monitor the overall condition and health of trees; this method is used to support evidence-based decision-making in sustainable forest management. In this study, it is found that the NDVI values or vegetation density index of Ahmad Yani Park range from 0.17 to 0.27, and for Beringin Park, it ranges from 0.15 to 0.22. In Ahmad Yani Park, 12% of its trees are found to be in a healthy condition, while 56% are in a mildly damaged condition. Meanwhile, in Beringin Park, 21% of its trees are in a healthy condition, and 42% are in a mildly damaged condition. Result from correlation shows there is a weak correlation between NDVI and tree health within this two city parks. This research is expected to provide input for the government, community, and relevant stakeholders in the planning and monitoring of city parks.
